Connected Care Device Gateway is designed to bring observations from supported home-monitoring devices into healthcare systems. It connects device-provider feeds with participant records, checks measurement metadata, and tracks the delivery of valid observations to authorized destinations.
The project gives operations teams visibility into device assignments, delayed feeds, and delivery problems. Care services can see when data is available and when a connection or quality issue needs attention.
Measurements from different device providers can arrive with inconsistent units, timestamps, and identifiers. Devices may lose connectivity or be reassigned, creating uncertainty about whether a reading is current and belongs to the intended participant.
A shared gateway makes these conditions visible before observations enter the receiving workflow. Tracking the source, assignment, and delivery state helps teams investigate gaps without treating an absent reading as evidence that a patient's condition is unchanged.
The gateway receives events from approved vendor interfaces, checks device-to-participant assignments, and normalizes supported units and timestamps. Unknown units, inconsistent assignments, and invalid records are held with an explanation for review.
Valid observations are sent to the agreed receiving system. Delivery failures can be buffered and retried, while an operations console highlights stale feeds and connector errors. Connectivity alerts describe the state of data delivery; clinical thresholds and emergency response remain with the care service.
Maintain supported device connections, participant assignments, and reassignment history so incoming observations can be checked against the correct care record.
Validate supported units, timestamps, and identifiers. Flag invalid readings and detect duplicate submissions before they enter the receiving workflow.
Track the delivery of valid observations and retain eligible undelivered records for retry when the receiving system becomes available.
